Five reasons to love waterproof flooring

Waterproof flooring is engineered vinyl, with the same style as luxury vinyl, but with a special core, the WPC, that offers the highest level of waterproof and moisture protection.

Amazing Hardwood Floors has been serving Northeast Connecticut for 10 years, and have established wonderful relationships with our customers who keep coming back to us time and time again.

We know how windy and stormy the weather get in Connecticut. We also know that Connecticut has a lot of big old homes that, while charming and gorgeous, can also be leak-prone.

To accommodate this, we added a waterproof flooring store to our already full inventory. We also provide many services, from installation to refinishing.

Call us for a free estimate; our showroom is in Bolton, CT and we also service Coventry, Tolland, Vernon, and Manchester.

What is a WPC core?

It stands for “wood plastic composite” and it’s a solid core that won’t peel or ripple no matter how much water your expose it to, and how much humidity and moisture build-up there is in your home.

This core also makes the flooring a little thicker so it's even more resistant to stains, spills, and scratches, while the earlier version of luxury vinyl has the traditional vinyl composite core.

While luxury vinyl does have the benefit of being waterproof, this is the flooringfor you if you have moisture challenges, leaky pipes or just want some extra protection.

Benefits include:

  1. Style. It has an amazing, realistic resemblance to wood, tile or stone. Texturing features give the image even more depth and dimension and the material can be cut into planks or tile-sized pieces to give it an even more authentic look. Stone looks include marble, slate, travertine, quartz, and limestone and the tilescome in a large assortment of colors, shapes, sizes, and patterns.

  2. Waterproof and moisture build-up prevention. Humidity can be just as damaging to a home, causing mold to grow on anything, from paper to carpet. Mold wreaks havoc with furnishings and other belongings.

  3. Durability. The floor is thicker, and so is the top clear wear layer that protects it from scratches and water.
